During our family cycling adventure, we decided to stop at the Empire, drawn by its charm. Arriving with our bikes, we settled in and parked them in the dining room, as the restaurant was closed. The room was spacious enough for our family, and the bathroom met our needs comfortably. With one child under seven, we appreciated the ample space for him to move around. While we were the only guests during our stay, the atmosphere felt intimate rather than busy. Breakfast, though basic, provided enough fuel for our next ride. We did notice the exterior needed some tidying up, making the first impression less than stellar. The overall family-friendly vibe was evident, especially as there were activities available nearby to keep our little one entertained. Looking back, it was a nice pitstop for us, and I believe families seeking a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere would find the Empire a decent option during their travels. Though not perfect, it offers a comfortable base for exploring the beautiful surroundings. It's worth considering for a family getaway in the area.
